The Reel Life Education Project has been developed in conjunction with the Isle of Man Police Force to tackle the issues that they have highlighted as being their greatest concerns.
These short films will be aimed at a variety of age groups and will engage with subjects such as drink driving, cyber bullying and ‘date rape’.
Here’s how RLEP describe themselves on their Facebook page:
An educational initiative creating short films around subjects affecting young people. So far two films have been made in the series.
The pilot film in the series, ‘Amy’, is the story of a young woman, recently started at university, who’s safety is compromised on a night out. The film was shot on the Isle of Man and directed by Dave Armstrong.
‘Ben’, the second film in the series is about a young free runner who’s life becomes derailed through taking mephadrone. ‘Ben’ was shot in Manchester and directed by Simon Powell. It stars free running sensation Will Sutton.
Luviair is one of many Isle of Man and international companies to support the Reel Life Education Project.
